About Us
Smiths Gore opened its first overseas office in the British Virgin Islands in 1965 and has since expanded its activities into North America, Europe, Malaysia and Brunei. The United Kingdom practice was founded in London in 1845 and currently operates from offices throughout England and Scotland. While the Caribbean practice continues to be based in the BVI over the years there has been a tendency to specialise in the sale and valuation of properties throughout the region.
“Land tenure is the foundation upon which sound planning and management rests. Development schemes at all levels have no chance of succeeding without an informed, intelligent grasp of the powers of land ownership which controls all primary land use and land development decisions”
